[ Adam and Lucifer got along well, of course. Both were sprightly creatures that found humor in small, silly things, and it was no difficult thing for them to goof off and fall into competitions or games, or find themselves getting into mischief. But Adam wasn't the person one went to when they ached for company that grasped grander designs underneath the pretty outer shell.
That's why he found himself here now, under a canopy of flowering vines. It was easy to wave through the trees and vines and circle around her, wrapping almost like a warm cloud bank around her.
Before he could settle to sit, however, that something bright in his face gave pause. His brows knitted and his head cocked as he sank gently to sit on the grass beside her, wings folding and disappearing. ]
Hey, c'mon. Why the long face? You only found like the best spot in all of Eden.
[ Something had to be wrong with her. There was no other explanation for this feeling inside that rejected even the mere idea of belonging to Adam, and yet that was her entire purpose. She wasn't supposed to be dancing amongst the flowers and saying hello to every creature she encounter. No, she existed to serve and obey the First Man. However, if that was the case then why did she dream of flying amongst the clouds and touching the stars that rested so perfectly in the night sky? Why did she wonder if it was possible to cook food on the sun without getting burnt and if a fish with wings would be happier than one with fins? Why did she continuous wonder so many things when her focus needed to be devoted to...Adam?
Why? Why? Why?
She sat on the ground, knees bent and pulled to her chest as she rested her head against them. Lilith could feel the frustration bubbling up inside and begging for some sort of release. She didn't even realize that very thing was happening when her eyes...began to leak. In fact, she hadn't even heard the approaching angel until it was too late and she was sniffling while trying to force a smile on her face. It wasn't right to trouble her heavenly friend with such things, but the urge to pour her heart out, to say everything inside herself that she never dared to speak out loud... It was so very strong. ]
I just... [ She turns her head away for a moment ] You don't need to worry, but tell me how you are? Have you been having fun with the clouds again?
