Canon Divergence AU-- Vexen gets to research his Secret Report -- [Vexen and Axel]

[Xemnas had been acting.. strangely.
Words like "amnesia" "split personality" and "seriously gone nutzo" were thrown around. Saix divulged something about seeing him talking to keyblade armor, in clipped hushed whispers, and their boss seemed to actively be interested in their... emotional wellness lately.

So really that last phrase didn't seem far off, in Axel's opinion.

Whatever the case, Kingdom Hearts was called off, or temporarily put on the backburner. Not that any of them really understood how that whole thing was going to work anyway. It's been nice to not see Roxas and Xion run so ragged by the change but still... it's weird.

Even Vexen has been seen outside of Castle Oblivion more often. Starting a second lab and infirmary in the main Castle's lower levels. Ranting about some breakthrough and insisting on wanting more data. At least that hadn't changed.

No one liked visiting the infirmary, but the assassin just had to go and bang up his arm. Now not only is the thing hanging limply, Axel's magic isn't working right. Damn heartless must have kinked a nerve somewhere blocking his control.

Axel sighs heavily. It wasn't going to fix itself. The best he can do is fling himself on one of the examination beds and try to coerce the man to make it snappy.]

"Let's go. I've got two more missions to get going on and the Heartless aren't going to exterminate themselves."

[The sooner Axel can get the Senior member to fix him, the sooner Axel can leave.]

[OOC: Terra's psyche is slowly reawakening, causing Xemnas to call off his kingdom heart plans, giving Vexen the chance to actually continue his heart research. Which could mean great things! Too bad no one likes him enough to willfully assist.

Canon Divergence AU-- C.O.s inhabitants get flung off world [Axel and Vexen]

[Axel doesn't know how it came to this. One minute Sora was fighting his way through the card-laden memory playground, Vexen was about to spill all the beans and Axel was about to give a show both of them were sure to have burned into their memory.

It's week two of this mission. They're supposed to fighting Sora. Or researching hearts, or whatever. That's the cover anyway. More specifically Vexen is supposed to be busy dying and Axel is supposed to be busy killing him to get in good with Marly and join the bitchy bunch crew. And sure, now would technically be a good place to do that except...]

"...this isn't castle Oblivion."

[The redhead mutters. Even if the appearance wasn't obvious, the very air, is different. Somehow. A Nobody may not have much in the way of feelings, but that only made the other senses all the sharper. They had both been standing on the grass outside the Card simulated!Old Mansion when the world began to shake, everything went dark. What.. happened?

Did the chunk of nonreality Castle Oblivion was on plummet into darkness? Was this where worlds went? Or is this another of the Castle's many tricks?.. Did Marluxia do this to further test him?

Whatever the reason, Axel tsks. He can't kill Vexen now. Not until they both get answers. The double-agent can only hope the Chilly Academic isn't aware how close he just came to almost getting fried..]

KH3 Continuation - Mending the Rift - [Even and Lea]

[Lea shifts on the balls of his feet from one leg to the other, as he stood outside the doors to the lab inside Radiant Garden Castle.

There had been a heartless attack a few days ago. Apparently some got in, made a mess of the place before promptly vanishing after thwarting a few attacks. It wasn't unheard of to see them after the keyblade war, the hearts of people and worlds still had a lot of healing to do. But seeing them here of all places was cause for concern. The former Nobodies knew all too well how many secrets this castle could hold.

Afterall. This was the place they all died, once, long ago.

A keyblade wielder had been requested not only to make sure the creature was gone and dispatch it if necessary but also to potentially seal off any unchecked dark rifts it may have leaked in from.

Solid plan. Only Roxas and Xion couldn't afford to keep getting pulled away from school, Aqua, Terra and Ventus had already left for their own mission and the Destiny Islands crew had infinitely more important business to attend to.

Lea... Lea was available. So here he was.
And trying desperately not to dwell on the fact that he is last person anyone here probably wanted to see.

Dilan and Aeleus were easy enough to greet at the entryway. The pair of guardsman seemed to not hold  any ill will, with the return of their hearts came compassion alongside their sense honor and duty.

Not that it wasn't strange for Lea to take the front door, instead of he and Isa's many break-in routes.]

"It's gonna be great. Gonna be fine..."

[No the hardest sell was going to the Scientists. Vexe-- Even, most of all.
When it came to mending their thoroughly shattered bond, Lea knows he hasn't exactly been a saint. It was easier to chat with Ienzo, since they sometimes shared the occasional video call but the redhead hasn't allowed himself to be alone in the same room as the Chilly Aca-- er Even since their recompletion. It had seemed easier that way, better for both their sakes, but now Lea couldn't help but wonder if that had been the right call.

Had Lea even had a positive impression of the other man before his time as Axel? It was so hard to remember..

Lea straightens his shoulders and knocks. It would go fine. He can be friendly and courteous and has gotten very good at dodging after all his training with Kairi.

"Err. Hi. You called? About the heartless problem?"

[Post KH3! The war has just wrapped up and relief efforts are in full swing! There is a lot of fixing up to do, in both hearts and minds. Even has requested a keyblade wielder to assist with locating a heartless (and possibly get some free labor in fixing up the lab) who he gets... is Lea.]
